upgrade micro sdhc card

How do I transfer everything from my current original Micro SD card onto a newer larger one? This will be onto a Kingston 16gb Class 2 MicroSDHC Card..
Do I just drag and drop on my desktop and back into the new card?
Do I need to go through any formatting?
Thanks for your help

As is mentioned in other posts, I just copied mine 4G to my laptop and then from the laptop back onto the new 16G card.

There is no magic, just files.

The problem is finding a reliable 32gb card at a reasonable price. There's a lot of junk being sold. Easier to find a good 16gb card.

My two penny bits...

I will wait for 32 GB SD Cards to become passe, like the 16GB ones my melodic friend keyplyr has suggested ( Only one i would trust at the moment is Sandisk's Class 2 32 GB SDHC Card)

But as mentioned by key, it is waaaay to expensive just now.... Premium pricing...

I'm waiting for 1 of 2 eventualities to but -

Penny 1) till the 64 and 128 GD SDXC Cards are Premium Pricing and 32GB SDHC Class 6/10 are passe

Penny 2) I run out of space on my factory fitted 4GB Card - APPS That MOVE TO SD FTW! (My phone is NOT my Mobile Media Player - i use a 160GB Classic iPod for that)

I would still trust only Sandisk

Cheers
