That article says nothing about SD Cards.
Lol I've never heard of a fake SD Card...let alone an app to test them. Did someone sell you a fake micro SD?

there is this "SD Card Speed Tester" app on the market. Some use it to check fake sd card.
As long as I know, ebay sold a lot of fake sd cards. So beware. light-sabred from my NeXuS OnE using Tapatalk

It runs on windows. You install on a PC. You take your microsd card and stick it in your PC. You run the program.

I tested a "32GB" card from Ebay - yes I did get my money back. The card stores all the file names in the directory but only 90 MB of data. When clicking on the first folders it looked good but once I got to folders in the 100 Mb area files were blank. Testing the card with this program showed Card - 32 GB Tested and usable space 90MB Corrupted and unusable space 30.9 GB It is a german program but when it runs you can click the English selection.
