Hi,
I have one of the original Nexus One phones purchased directly from Google. After I had used it a couple of months on T-Mobile, I changed providers and just put the Nexus One on the shelf. I have decided to sell it but I have a couple of questions. First, it is just as I got it from Google (plus OTA updates). Will it increase the value if I unlock it or root it? It is currently running Android 2.3.4, Build GRJ22. Second, what should I do to the phone to erase my information from the phone and the SD card? Thanks in advance. No, rooting it probably won't increase the value (worth a try, but probably not).
To clear the phone: Menu> settings> storage> erase SD Menu> settings> privacy> factory data reset

To erase your personal information on the phone and SD card, go to Settings, then Privacy, then select Factory data reset, then select Erase SD card and tap the Reset phone icon.

Thank you both for your help. I have just finished both of the steps that you recommended. I am now ready to put the phone on the market.
With that in mind, it looks like they are going for between $200 and $300 on ebay. Is that the best place to sell a phone like this? |

It's certainly an option. You might also list it on our sister site's For Sale section:
