What tablet is it?

How are you attempting to use Gingerbreak?
The manual method? Or using the APK?

From what I remember, the APK only worked on a handful of devices - Your tablet my not be one of them.

I think each tablet more or less has a different method to root it. You may want to take a trip over to XDA forums and see if there is a forum for you device

Oh I forgot to add.. I had to put in a basically blank SD Card to successfully run the Gingerbreak apk and have it work.
So you might want to consider clearing out an old SD card and using that to run the APK...

ya i tried with the apk... ok ill try with a blank sd, the one that i put in was my old n1 sd card so it have some files on it... its a chinese tablet running samsung processor that i got from dinodirect.com

guess you are right, did not work even with blank sd... no answer to this problem anywhere on the web..

another question : when i slide my sd card in it, in notification bar it says : "preparing tflash card" and mount it but where can i look for it or put some files on it ? When i plug via usb only the internal usb mem shows up too

***edit : nevermind, i found it under 0_tfdisk with file expert, yay
