Screen auto rotate

Hi, I just got my nexus s. I have done the OTA update, and I have noticed that screen auto rotation (eg in message, browser etc) doesn't work. It works well after a redraft then it stops again. The phone remains normal, not sluggish or anything, but if I open the browser and turn the phone it won't rotate to landscape!
I have read online some ppl saying it's related to Google sky map, so I uninstalled, restarted then again it sometimes doesn't work! Anyone else facing this?

update:
the problem is still there even after removing Sky maps!

Is your phone set to auto rotate, settings-> display-> auto-rotate screen check that box. Now I know you probably already check that but I'm just making sure because some people don't think of those simple things sometimes. The only other thing I could say is factory reset.

Yes, I made sure to check and and check it many times. it is enabled, and after a restart it works well then suddenly it stops

After the factory reset does it stop after you reinstall the apps or something because to me it sounds like it's an app causing this.

I didn't factory setting, I just installed and removed the sky map application
After restart the rotation works well for awhile then stops!

Did you try a Factory Data Reset?

No I didn't because I have the same problem on another nexus s. Although the other one didn't have sky map installed. I think it is a problem with the update

Standard troubleshooting procedure says you really should try a reset. I as well as many others have received the update and this is the first I heard of this problem. Just double checked and the rotate works dandy on mine.

. Ok I have just did a factory setting, and reinstalled everything that I had before. Will be keeping a close eye on it and will report back.
