How to restore to factory software.

Hey guys, i'm not sure if this is the right section, so apologies if it isnt.

I bought the Nexus one on Vodafone UK and have been switching between the iphone and N1 ( think the keyboard is easier on iphone)

anyway was on 2.1 when i got it, as you will probably know Vodafone took weeks before releasing 2.2, so i got impatient and uploaded the korean version, and its worked great, but i want to put it back to the Vodafone 2.1 so i can receive the official update. or at least put it on a UK version of 2.2, just because i want to, and if i consider selling it i'd rather it was on UK software.

Ps, im not really clued up to well on technobabble so please keep it simple.

Thanks

I started a similar topic yesterday. Quick answer is to use Rom Manager, there is an option to download stock ROM. Here is the long answer:

Don't download the latest nightlies that have FRG33 in them. As of now, it is a lot harder to go back.

The first link there is 3 NExus one files, which one do i download ?

and the second link is way beyond my tech abilities, i was hoping for something along the same idea of hold on and trackball and upload from the SD card type thing.

or can it not be done that way ?

The first link "Nexus One FRF91 system image" is the official 2.2. Rename to update.zip and put in the root of your sd card and boot using power + trackball. The other two are official images for Eclair 2.1. Even easier is to download the paid app "Rom Manager" from the Android Market. It has an option to download and install stock roms automatically.

Official 2.2 ROM:

That link doesn't seem to give a ROM file for me to download, just some updates for HTC phones, and when i select Nexus it just give info no file.

went to ROM manager and says for rooted phones only, mines isnt rooted.

If you're not rooted, how did you flash the korean ROM? Maybe use the "one click root" method listed here:
1 click root now available!

And straight to the APK:

HTC's website is giving me fits too... Here is a modaco link with stock N1 ROMS:
10/May Stock ROMs - ERD79 -> EPF21B images / zip / online kitchen (optional root / insecure / himem) - Android @ MoDaCo

I assume there is no PASSIMG or update file to downgrade to 2.1 then ?

been searching the internet and all the files seem to just give error messages when trying to update through vol down/power button method.
