How to soft reset?

How to soft reset?
Is it merely taking out the battery? Or is there some sort of combo of bottons/actions?

well, if a soft reset if just power cycling the phone, what does does power, volume down, and trackball do??

LOL. Yeah, the method that I said is the 'official' way to do it. The easier way too IMO.

A soft reset is a reset of the OS without any sort of data wipe. This would include both the key combination and power cycling.
A hard reset would be an OS wipe. |
