Does everyone have that small hole in the top of there new N1 ? Or am I missing a rubber plug ?

If you mean the really small hole on the upper side of the back of the phone, that's the second microphone for noise canceling feature.

ok It is for the headphones but I thought there would be some kind of rubber plug in there for when your not using the headphones, I could see right down inside the phone

That's not at all unusual! You may be able to find some sort of rubber plug for the headphone jack if you hunt around, if you think you really need one.
