cant upload music to my N1 phone

Im trying to upload music onto my N1 with my usb cord, and Im following the directions given on googles websight,(unmounting the sd card from the computer, then turning off usb when Im done ), but my music library is blank in the phone. Even though I can see everything I uploaded onto the card from my computer. And the storage on the card is filling up. Any suggestions??

It sounds like you need to refresh the library. The phone won't always check to see what new things were added, so even if you put them there, they don't show up in the player. This is natural for all non-sync-ed devices.

To reset, next time you connect your phone, just go to the folder that says "gallery thumbnails" (or some kind of thumbnail, I forget which), and delete what is inside. When you reconnect the phone, it will re-load all of your content. Sometimes this takes a while if you have a lot. I believe there's a way to do this in the settings menu as well!

Good luck!

it wasnt seeing my .mp4 audio files...

for the seen music, it detected the ones in root and 'music' folder

So figured it out. I was dragging and dropping windows media files, and seeing nothing. Then I opened my itunes folder, and dropped some mp4 files in, and there they were...
I guess windows media files aren't the way to go??
Anyway now Im loading my phone with tunes!!
