Sim card/contacts reading problem

i am trying to add all my contacs from the SIM; problems: sometimes, after the phone "reads" the SIM, it says "no contacts on your card" or something like this..-FALSE; eventually it finds contacts on the SIM, it looks like it adds them to the phone ( WHERE????), but the list remains empty like nothing was added........HELP!!!!....PLS., google, i had faith in you, but this has not happend on, old siemens, super old motorola phones, i mean this is basic small stuff, ...i don't really want to find out if it has "serious" issues.

i had same probs but check out bishops post here on page one
