Email and GMail not working?

I set up my Email and Gmail apps to work with my Yahoo and Gmail accounts.

They both worked perfectly for about a day.

Then, my Email would stop getting email updates. My yahoo email is connected to my Gmail, so I just used Gmail instead. But all of a sudden NEITHER email clients are getting emails, even when manually refreshed.

I can't even log into Email anymore! I tried setting the IMAP manually like is described for my Yahoo, but I can't sign in. I keep getting WRONG USER/PASSWORD.

I looked into it. Yahoo has blocked android and POP mail. You have to either pay for Yahoo Plus or use IMAP which doesn't push sometimes. Mine worked for a day then stopped signing in.

I'm angry yahoo would try to stop certain devices from using yahoo unless they pay! I switched to gmail as my main mail. I've used yahoo mainly for the past few years but gmail is better so far.

That is low down and dirty! I guess I'll sign in via the web to access my account.

I would love to find a way to work around it and was even considering paying the $20 for a year of Plus. But that's a lot of money for a emailing client that is normally free on 80% of devices.

Its a shame. But using gmail means it works seamlessly with the nexus. I'm getting instant push emails. I had a few yahoo emails come in gmail because my accounts are still linked but even with refreshing the newer emails refuse to show up.

Yes. You are able to connect Yahoo with Gmail VERY easily. During the initial setup, all your current emails from Yahoo will be imported to Gmail.

I did this the first time, and Gmail would get every email. After about 7 hours, it would take 30 minutes for a email through Gmail to come. And then eventually, they wouldn't come at all.

Now, I will get all emails sent to my Gmail, but all Yahoo emails will be left out, and won't come in with manual refreshes.

There is no way to redo the Yahoo to Gmail connection, unless you delete the email off Gmail, THEN re-import all your stuff which is LOTS of work just to get your Yahoo mail.

The best way I've found to get my Yahoo is by using the browser version.... But thats about it. I recommend moving to Gmail..
