Music Player Not Syncing All Music Files From My Computer

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but my N1 won't copy certain random music files from my computer. Correction, it does copy them, it just won't play them. They look like text documents in my file manager. Not sure what's causing, or if there's a fix. Any assistance would be great!

Are all your music on your computer the same file format?

Some of the common compatibility formats for the Nexus are, mp3, MIDI, m4a, ACC and others I can't quiet remember.

If there are different music formats, which format are not coping over properly?

all of the music i have came from my G1 when i transferred phones, i synced the info to my computer and then transferred to my phone. In respects to the music format. I bought the cd Epiphany & Three Ringz by T-Pain. Three Rings synced as music files but Epiphany synced as text files???

The music files on your pc, highlight one of them > right click > properties.
You will then see the file format...

K. I compared all my T-Pain CD's that synched properly were mp3 files. The ones which didn't were wma files. Is there a fix for this?

What you will need, is a music file converter, have a hunt around the web or someone maybe able to direct us quicker.

FYI... wma is not one of the supported file format.

Try doubleTwist, it's like a lite (and free) version of iTunes and it works with Android. It automatically converts media files from your computer to appropriate formats for whatever recognised phone including the N1.

Sync Android, PSP, BlackBerry, Pre: doubleTwist with Amazon MP3

Hey Bishop6 & dlngu2, the doubletwist program seems to be doing just what you said. I thought I was going to lose half my music because of this. Thanks again!!!
