sms 4-digit sender

I have problems with display of sender number and receiving messages from 4-digit sms services. I have also tried the Handcent application with the same result as the inbuilt message application.
The first part of the message is used as the sender address and subtracted from the message. When the message only contains one word, the message process terminates unexpectedly.
It is impossibel to answer the message using the detected adress. All other sms messages works ok.

Gee Elvis, that was helpful. Are you trying to say that the Nexus One is buggy, or the user's particular phone has a problem?

In Norway there are many automated VAS services identified by a 4 digit number. All of these services malfunctions. Only inbuild message application terminates, handcent deliver message, bus does not identify the sender.

Handcent can also blacklist them....

Blacklisting is not a solution, I want the message received correctly formatted and withh correct sender identified like all other phones do. Handcent is better than standard message application since it doesn't terminate. It seems like android 2.1 sms plattform does not deliver correct sender address in the case of 4-digit numbers.

I have the same issue. It has been reported at the official issue tracker. You might want to "star" that issue, so that it climbs higher in the list.
