Small issue related with the default Browser with pinch-to-zoom feature
Thanks for the system update so that Nexus One supports the pinch-to-zoom feature. Great feature!
However I have got a little problem when I try to use pinch-to-zoom in the browser application. When I use pinch-to-zoom in the web page, it does not able to re-align the words so that it fits the screen. I found this issue does not happens when I use double-tap to zoom or use the zoom button. Please advice if I got anything wrong or anything I missed. Thank you. |

NOT AN ISSUE... Pinch-to-zoom allows you to zoom into a specific area, were as the zoom button brings the page closer while keeping it centered. Kind of pointless to pinch and zoom to an area off center and the thing auto centers...

When you use the "stretch" gesture to zoom in, text does not automatically reflow. If you want to reflow the text to fit on the screen, all you have to do after stretching it to the desired size is to double-tap. That will not change the zoom level, it will just reflow the text. Another double-tap will zoom back out, as usual.
This is not a bug. It's the sensible way to handle zooming in -- you might be just zooming in to see a picture in more detail or to make a button or link big enough to tap, and there's no reason to reformat the text in such cases. |
