Unhappy Nexus one bricked..?

I had a problem few times while restarting my phone, the phone used to stop booting at 'X' symbol that is shows while booting.. So today morning when i got gingerbread 2.3.4 OTA. I selected to reboot and install the update. But the phone hanged while installing the update and when i tried to re-start. Its now working at all.. When i take off the phone battery and keep for charging the orange led glows indicating its charging state.

But when i tried to switch on the phone, nothing works and orange LED goes off too.. I have tried several times starting the phone but without any success.. So i would highly appreciate your solutions or tips in this regards.

Thanks in advance.

I would try a passimg to flash and restore the rom. Unless someone comes up with a better solution ?

If you havn't found by now... It's pretty easy and fast. Basically you dowload a stock 2.2 rom image (from xda forum or shipped-roms.com), rename the downloaded file : passimg.zip, place it on the sd, reboot the phone while holding volume down button, the phone will scan some files and detect the passimg file and will ask you to install it. Select yes and you're done.

If you can see the x logo maybe you can still boot into bootloader
(Vol down when powering) You cant put your sd directly in your comp ? Or a friend's comp ?
(Mine have a sd slot)

Oh sadly no 'X' logo too.. the screen's not turning up at all..

Guess will try for one more day and give it to HTC repair centre suspecting some hardware issue..

Try the 3 finger--if no go, send back

Hold down pwr/vol-/trackball at same time--may take up to 20 seconds to start to boot, so don't release buttons too soon

If this works, you are not bricked and iPeck's suggestion can be tried
