Camera not working, other solutions?

So my camera force close every time I try to use it..

So far I've tried different roms... like miui, cm7(used cm roms for a while), I've tried pure something roms, blandroid.. camera never worked.. tried one or two kernels too to no avail..

So I've reflashed everything to stock.. I mean STOCK lol.. still force closing..

anything else I might not know to try? Or I can assume it's an hardware issue?

I guess the reps at mobile store will throw a fit once they see the unlocked padlock lol if I ask for some help..

No sorry but if you went back to stock (kernel, recovery, ROM, etc.) preferably through the passimg method then it has to be hardware because by default the code should work on any nexus one :/

I've done it through command prompt with adb commands.. would that count as good as what you said?

disclaimer : I know some stuff about rooting and all, but far from being called a knowledgable person..

Have you tried wiping data from the camera?

if yes, I did try that without success..

Well it could but it depends on how you do it just that you would need to do those adb commands so you could reflash a stock ROM/kernel but the recovery would stay the same although for one the recovery should not change much to the camera and for two the stock ROM will flash the stock recovery back when you reboot it so yes that should have the same effect as the passimg method the only thing is that the passimg method is simpler and much faster that is why I advised it.

My next suggestion is to try using a different SD card...

this is the guide that I've followed

Step 1. Disable backup my settings under privacy settings.
Step 2. unzip the original shipping Rom.
Step 3. Plug in your Nexus One to your computer via USB. (Enable USB and debug modes)
Step 4. Open a Command Prompt on your computer
Step 5. Type adb reboot bootloader. This will boot into the bootloader.
Step 6. Confirm fastboot connection by typing fastboot devices.
Step 7. Erase your Userdata by typing fastboot erase userdata.
Step 8. Erase your Cache by typing fastboot erase cache.
*note, if step 7 and 8 do not work you can alternately do a factory data wipe within Android. Settings/Privacy settings/Factory Data Reset.
Step 9. Go to the directory where you stored your unzipped image file.
Step 10. Type fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
Step 11. Type fastboot flash boot boot.img
Step 12. Type fastboot flash system system.img
Step 13. “skip to step 14 if you would like to keep” your recovery image. This is assuming you have a custom recovery image installed. if not, type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Step 14. fastboot reboot
Step 14. After the system boots up, skip setting up with the Google account. This is so that your settings are not pulled down from Google. But if you want to, go ahead and finish setting up and you will be back to a Stock Nexus One.

If I tell you that a couple of days/weeks ago I had some weird issues.. like the phone telling me my card had errors.. but reboot and it's fine

would that make you say something along those line:

OMG that's why your camera is broken! change that and it'll be fine

Ya that is the other method I was thinking of that you can use to return to stock and ya it will have the same effect as passimg.
