Digitizer or LCD cracked?

I dropped my nexus one today >.<

The screen cracked. The glass is obviously cracked on the surface and there are tiny little shards coming off if I touch it too much.

I think that means the "digitizer" is cracked, but how can I tell if the lcd screen below is also damaged?

Well mine once broke and it started having weird colors the next morning and it's really noticeable so you should have no problems with seeing it. Other than that you could try and see if there are any cracks under the digitizer but that might be rather hard if it is spider web cracks.

And just btw encase you still weren't sure yes the glass on top is the digitizer.

Thanks for the reply.

I think the LCD is ok. I haven't seen any odd coloration or anything like that yet.

Now I need to decide if it's worth it to get the N1 fixed or to use my available t-mobile upgrade to get the Nexus S . . .

Ok well just by the way when mine cracked I noticed the discoloration the next morning so it was about 9h after the fall so I would keep that in mind. Also to get the phone fixed it should be about 120$ for the lcd or for the digitizer.
