Audio not enabled when call made

I have a problem that I'm not able to reproduce deliberately. However, sometimes when I make a call the audio does not output. I actually have to hit the speakerphone option and then disable it for the audio to output through the ear speaker. Sometimes it works this way, and sometimes it doesn't. I suspected that this had something to do with the fact that I use the auxillary output often in my car for streaming radio with StreamFurious, but again, I can't recreate the issue. Is this a problem with some app that I'm using?
