Google's Nexus One to be released January 5th?

The Nexus One release date. Something that has been speculated over and over... along with it's very existence until recently. Reuters is jumping into the fray and they are saying that the big date is going to be January 5th and of course, it will be available on T-Mobile.

This brings up a curious case of networks and how differently they operate. Verizon of course dumped millions of marketing dollars into the Motorola Droid.

We've yet to hear a peep from T-Mobile about the Nexus One. Why? Is the release much further out? Is it because the phone is "unlocked" and they can't force you to stick with them?

Who knows, but regardless, we are of course hoping that the release does in fact happen as soon as possible.
