The SDK will be available for ICS immediately, so developers can run with the ball. The event lasted a full hour and really showcased the amazing qualities of the hardware and software. One of the things that was most impressive was that the camera on the Galaxy Nexus was only a 5MP but looked better than many 8MP cameras. The software was the reason for this, and really is where this device and Android will shine brightly! Share your thoughts guys!

I didn't even notice that, thanks for that. I read up on T-Mobile Galaxy phone, I read that in the comments as well. I rarely use the track ball on my Nexus One, and thought about it, the only reason I use it is the notification and colors. LOL.

Maybe they'll make an app where the home button glows a certain color for notifications. That would be cool.

This made me salivate.

I could care less about a trackball. Other than the colors it had no use for me. I have a Transformer with the dock and turn the mouse pad off and don't even use that.

There is a small LED for notification (though it is... SMALL relative to the trackball)

Guess we could use NoLED, but that TBH isn't the most polished app and saps battery. Hope there will be mods to the navigation bar to be used like the samsung continuum (time and notifications when majority of the screen is off)

Overall, I think its a nice upgrade from a N1
