Android 2.2 causes phone to shut down when using flash to take pictures

Hello

Android 2.2 has been installed on my phone OTA. Now when I take a picture using the led flash the phone shuts off and I cant turn it on with on/off switch. I have to take battery out and put back in and then it will restart. ANYONE else having the same problem ?? Where can I contact Google to complain ??

I had the phone shut down once since installing froyo. And that was when I was opening a pic I just took. For some reason the phone didn't like that and shut off :-/.

I just tested this now on FRF91 and it worked fine here. I have done a factory wipe since the download, however, so if this is repeatable and driving you nuts, you may want to try that.

As far as complaining to Google, I think if you Google your problem and find others with the same issues, there'll be a Google group or mailing list somewhere you can't miss.

I am also having this same problem. I have only had the phone for about 2 weeks so im not sure i have taken a picture with flash before the FRF91 update, but now when pictures are taken with flash the phone freezes like stated above. I have also downloaded camera zoom fx to see if that would fix this problem but to no avail.

I am having the same problem on my stock Froyo AT&T Nexus One. I haven't found anything to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking about installing CyanogenMod just to try to fix this problem.

Having a low battery may be a potential cause.

OMG I'm having the same problem!

Argh! I hate it, all the time on holiday I'd try taking a picture but the flash would be on and then the screen would just go black.

Photos that were only available to take for about 5 seconds were stolen from me because of some silly flash problem!

I've had my nexus since 6th may 2010 and i dont know if ive downloaded the 2.2 or not, about 1 month after getting it my phone asked if it would like to be updated and i said yeah so it did.
im not sure if that could be the cause of the problem or not though.

Message back if you have any solutions what so ever!!

I think we should start by sharing what we have tried so far.

I have reseted to factory 3 time and no luck.

I'm thinking of maybe downgrading to 2.1 if anyone has a way to accomplish this let me know.
