If you're rooted you can get into the camera app files and delete the sound file. I've done it successfully.

A second option is to install the Desire camera app. It has the option to turn the shutter sound off, as well as a ton of other options.

Annoying? The sound is there to replicate the shutter on earlier cameras, which also serves to let the user know that the photo has indeed been taken. You guys are pretty touchy if you find this annoying.

Simple.. when your at the main screen to swipe the phone to access it.. on the right hand side is the volume swipe.. just swipe it left and no sound.. tried it with my N1 and took pics with no sound shutter at all.

Hey, can you tell us what phone model this is on? Then we'll attempt to recreate and fix this issue.

Hey all these issues have been fixed now!! SilentSnap will open your camera instantly everytime , and also will reenable all phone settings on exit including exit with the home button!
