Opening Email Attachments?

What email attachments can the N1 open? Today, I tried opening my first, a PDF document, and it couldn't. Is there a trick I'm missing?

According to google this should work fine..

Google Mobile - Gmail

"View attachments. Open message attachments - including photos, Microsoft Word™ documents, MP3s and PDF files."

There are also about 100 PDF readers on the market..

This is assuming that you are Not referring to Gmail...

Go under account settings and un-check the box for "Use secure connection (ssl)"

And give it another try...

It was Gmail I was using.

If you use the browser to goto Gmail, Can you open it from there?

OK just tried this. Open the message and scroll to the bottom. Next to the pdf attachment there is a button market 'preview'.

It's a rather basic reader but it does seem to render OK.

Error in the PDF perhaps? Try with the nexus one manual for example.

I suspect it also doesn't support encrypted PDFs, given how basic the reader is.

OP emailed me the PDF he was trying to open, I could not either.
I could on the PC.

I emailed him one that I could open in the Gmail app....Waiting to find out if he could open it.

Edit: He was able to open the one I sent Him, but unable to open a few others that he had.
He also sent me another that I was able to open.

I am guessing that it might have to do with how the PDF was created....
