I wonder if they'll squeeze this into 2.2.

Hah! I'm surprised they didnt use it earlier! Apps2SD is very stable for me, I've never experienced any differences or lags with it compared to normally installed apps.

Might not be good for people who arent as tech savy with Android. Because some apps like security and other apps will not work when installed to SD card.
