Noob Android "Market" & Apps question

Is there any way to see ALL N1 available apps without having an N1? Does someone maintain an unofficial "appstore" type of index ?

Do N1 apps have to be downloaded through the app store on the phone or can they be downloaded to your computer first (like Palm used to do it) then installed?

You'll want to start calling them Android Apps btw, they're not unique to the N1. Well over 95% of these apps existed before the N1 was launched.

That shows virtually nothing .... which is why I posted the OP.

There are a number of 3rd parties who index all the iPhone apps as well as "most recently posted apps." I was wondering if something similar existed for Android.
