The Nexus One IS unlocked, if you buy it for full price of $530.

Its asking if you want AT&T or T-Mobile SUBSIDIZED versions, which come with a contract.

Select the unlocked full price one that doesn't have the cellphone providers next to it!

they're were 3 options tho.
1 - tmob $530
2 - att $530
3 - tmob contract $179 (cant do that as not in usa)

there were signal spec differences between 1 & 2

They are ALL unlocked. The difference between the T-Mobile and at&t versions is there are two sets of 3g frequencies between the two versions. If your carrier is a GSM carrier, I'm assuming it is in the UK, find out what frequencies they use for 3g. Most likely it will be the at&t version if it's either of the two.

Since you aren't getting a contract with an American provider, disregard the subsidized prices. Even if you got a subsidized phone its still unlocked, but the discount comes from signing a contract, the phone is the exact same if you get a contract or not.

If your carrier uses different bands for 3g than either version, it doesn't matter which one you get, you just wont have 3g.

What's the carrier in the UK you're planning on using the phone on?
