Steps for doing the CyanogenMOD on unlocked N1?

Steps for doing the CyanogenMOD on unlocked N1?
I tried to follow this video(http://www.droiddog.com/android-blog...us-one/)...but it doesnt work. Since my phone is unlocked, i can skip step one right(Unlock the bootloader)?
I was trying to root the phone and this is the message that came out from terminal. See neonmonster's rooted thread. PG.1 will tell you everything you need. If you need help rooting ask in that forum people will help you out. It doesn't matter if you bought an unsubsidized phone or a phone with contract, you still have to unlock bootloader.
