Voice dictation punctuation problem
I just got my Nexus One a couple of days ago (Canada!) and I love it.
There is only one thing I find very odd and would like to fix. When I use the voice dictation it doesn't take me saying "comma", "period", "question mark" and turn them into ",", ".", "?" For example: I say: "Sounds good PERIOD What time are we meeting QUESTION MARK" It types out "Sounds good period what time are we meeting question mark" Not "Sounds good. What time are we meeting?" I notice in the demo videos that this is working properly, am I missing an option somewhere or does anyone else have a similar issue? Thanks |

It worked fine for me when I texted "My girlfriend missed her period should I question Mark, the guy she stayed with in France last month."

I haven't tried to dictate the punctuation, but perhaps you need to check the settings for the keyboard? There is an auto complete that inserts punctuation. Maybe this helps it understand those commands?
On the few times I have used the dictation (I keep forgetting it's there), it just puts in the correct punctuation. |

I also use mine with no problem...
Have you tried leaving a short pause before '?' '.' etc. to see if that helps? |
