Nope it currently says 1/3/2010 7:14 am Depart Facility Cincinnati Hub, OH I'm assuming it will update once the plane lands and it's processed @alphawave7 I think you might be right, the after effect of last night is setting in

I had:
9.56am Depart Facility - Cincinnati 12:06am Transit through DHL facility - East Midlands, UK 4.56am Depart Facility – East Midlands, UK by 7am it was in Edinburgh(before getting itself lost). Its amazing they can get it from East midlands to Edinburgh in 2 hours so not sure what these actually mean. So looks like you are correct about the time of the plane. If it clears customs without delay you are looking at items leaving in the morning and arriving next morning. Has anyone seen the prices on ebay. Some crazy/stupid people. |

I found out some further information on DHL international express delivery, they forward the customs documents to the customs offices in the UK, and that way they can clear the item before it hits the ground.

Clever really. Its a bit like flying from Ireland to US. There is a US immagration in Dublin. Not catch me going to US. My mate (who is really quiet and gentle) got detained in a cell with no furnature and then deported. Apparently they went mad because he asked them if he could have a drink of water.
I know its a pain to have to pay import tax but it does help keep manufacturing/sales jobs here. It would have been better if google had shipped UK phones from UK, then we would all be playing with our phones now and we would not have had the import tax. Google seem to avoid paying tax in Britain which is not good for us. The more companies pay the less we have to pay? |
