Wifi Speeds On Nexus One
ok so using speedtest today i tested my computer speed and it clocked at this


However when i run the speedtest app on my phone on wifi sitting next to my pc and my router i only got 6mbp. Is there a limit on how fast the wifi can be due to the wireless card inside the phone? Ive heard people get like 10mbps on their n1's.

The wireless chip in the N1 supports 802.11N, so should be able to clock some very high speeds where available.

Hm if I can scrap enough cash to get one soon I have 100Mbit connection in my home so It would be nice to see what I get off my phone

my laptop runs at 19mb/s but on wifi my phone only hits 1538kb/s my phone is faster on 3g than wifi

Just did a speedtest on my N1 wireless..

DL 1724 kbps Up 1807 kbps
Ping 81 ms Server: St. George, Ut (closest one)

Live in Las Vegas.

I read that the chip inside supports N as well though but it is not listed on the google site
