HTC Sense + radio + more on the Nexus One
There's an alpha version of a rooted rom for using some of the new Desire (the Nexus One sister phone available now:
I think once this gets thoroughly tested and vetted, I've found the motivation for rooting my Nexus One. Features like recording 720-wide video, touch focus on the phone, the radio, htc sense, plus the ability to store apps on the SD card, create a Wifi hotspot out of the phone, capture screenshots without a dozen steps ... all those features and my Nexus One filling up with too many apps/games recently makes me think I think I'm ready to take the dive. Anyone else know of other benefits/drawbacks? I'm still learning about the whole ROM installation process. |

Should be a lot more features than what the current Nexus One has. Has some cool features but should wait til it comes out of alpha and at least into beta before doing anything. Don't wanna brick your phone.
But here is the link on how to do it if you like flashing and getting into the root of your phone...... http://www.redmondpie.com/download-h...sense-9140467/ be warned...don't attempt it if you don't know what you are doing....the HTC Desire ROM is in Alpha form and will be buggy. Like I said the only thing I like about Sense is the flip clock, I wish it was available for Nexus One.

Just wanted to give a quick input on my personal exp installing Sense.
I LOVE IT. So much smoother and I don't know about everybody else but I experienced constant "launcher force close" issues on my N1. Resorted to Home++ but I am so happy this is not happening on this rom. BTW it is very smooth. I can't wait until all the kinks are smoothed out. BTW I was not a fan of SENSE UI until well...I grew tired of my N1 launcher force closing on me. |

Hi guys long time reader....first time poster :P
The rooting is simple and pretty fast, i mean i have been putting it off for a few weeks but decided today to go for it, took about 10 seconds to root and i am looking for some good custom ROMS now. Only problem i see now is that my nexus wont open or load any images in the gallery or populate the music library :S only time will tell if it ever works properly again haha |
