$79.99 a month.

T Mobile said I could port my metropcs number and choose whatever plan I wanted. I was worried that they'd have a N1 only plan limiting you to 500 minutes for 79.99..

What combo did you get?

I ordered the unlocked phone for now, I will probably enable a low voice minute plan and high data plan once it gets here.

I have the 500 Data + web.

I'm already close to going over my minutes. Night times starting at 9 isn't helping me. But I have google voice set up and ready, so I will be using VoIP almost completely during the day.

T-Mobile is good if you are in areas with lots of coverage. Its actually really good over here. But just a bit spotty. But since T-mobile upgraded their data, it will be even faster!

It's all about location. VZW 3G by my house is only 300-400k but other places I get ~2000k on the downstream and ~800k on the upstream. You may be in an area where there isn't enough bandwidth to give you high numbers.

i was trying to make the point you made..

too many variables..

device, service, location... I think all contribute..

tmobile seems to work as good as verizon/ATT/sprint .. in cities where it has 3G..

I don't doubt it. I would just like to see these fancy 7.2mbps networks put out more than the standard 300-400k+ you see on most carriers. A 5mbps speed test would impress me using a 7.2mbps capable network.
