How good is the camera?
I've been considering getting the Nexus One for a while. One of the things that I've been wondering about is the quality of the camera. It seems to be very good as phone cameras go, but how does it compare to consumer-grade point-and-shoot cameras?
Also, the camera on my iPhone 3G, in addition to being of relatively poor quality, doesn't deal with motion very well. From what I've read the sensor scans from one side of the frame to the other, making things that move look distorted. Here's an example (not my photo, but it was taken with an iPhone): ![]() Here's one I took - note the warping of the truck on the left: ![]() Does the Nexus One take similar pictures? Thanks for your help. Last edited by cronin1024; 01-24-2011 at 01:23 AM. Reason: moved image to imgur |

The pictures are very good on the Nexus. Only thing is none of my pics have been 5 pixels....I have it set to 5mp and pics for some reason are stored in my album as smaller...Maybe someone else can chime in on this....

Thanks for your reply. How would you say the pictures compare to those taken by a regular digital camera? How are action/low light shots? Have you noticed the warping present in the iPhone shots I posted at all?

![]() A: This is actually a pretty cool looking pic. B: The person who took this pic is either an idiot or has brass balls for standing that close to a moving propeller.
