pls help contacts

hi guys

im trying to add my contact to my nexus one. but it keeps saying my sim card has no contacts on it ive put my slim back in my ols phone and they are all saved to the sim card,

has any one had this happen to them if any help would be great

The first thing that comes to mind, is that your contacts are not saved in a vCard format, thus Nexus One is unable to read it.

is there an easy way of saving my text in to a v card format on my old phone ???

There is two ways;

One: Download a vCard convertor program.

Two: If you have 'Microsoft Outlook' you can transfer it to your contacts and then there's an option within 'MO' to export to a particular file type > vCard being one of them.

Did you try pressing the menu icon (Second from Left) on bottom face of the phone and it will bring up an option to transfer contacts from SIM card.

I had to manually input all my contacts but after I was done I synchronied with google contacts and there goes my back up. ahihihihihihi
