Can you turn on Call Waiting notification

Every phone I have had notified me when I call someone and he's talking on the phone, my phone says call waiting and eventually beeps. But this doesn't happen on the nexus one. Is this feature available?

and then select the checkbox with "Call waiting"

This is checked, but it is for incoming calls. I need the feature for outgoing calls

My understanding, this feature you are referring to, would only work if the other person doesn't have call waiting, (engage tone); otherwise you will hear a ring tone if they are on the line while you are calling them.

I don't know if you understand this correctly

Person 2 is talking on his phone with someone else
Person 1 is calling Person 2 and the phone of Person 1 should say call waiting and eventually beep which means Person 2 is talking right now

By what you have describe, I'm not familiar with that type of function on the Nexus One.

Maybe someone can shine some light into this matter.

I just checked iPhone 3GS and it doesn't notify you either. Nokia N95 can do that and tells you that the other person is talking on his phone
