nexus one browser

nexus one browser

what's the correct way of exiting the browser? ive been using dolphin all along.

What I was told by an experienced Android user is that if you leave a program by pressing the "home" key, the program stays open in the background. If you leave a program using the "back" key, the program quits (does not stay open in the background).

Of course, if there is a menu/quit in the application, you can always use that, too.

thanks. im using the back method because the application doesn't have a quit option. can be quite annoying if you've been browsing several web pages.

I haven't used the Dolphin browser, but in the stock one, you can choose to view "windows" and quickly kill them off from the list.

im talking about the stock browser. dolphin has an option to exit. Killing off windows in the stock one then pressing back does help though.

Menu => Windows

Close them all, then hit back to exit.
