Contact not showing up when I start typing

Maybe one of you can help me with my next question.
When I want to send a text message and start writing the name of the person it shows up while writing so you can choose.
The strange thing is that it does not do this with all my contacts.
Some show up others do not.

Can anybody shed some light on this for me please?

Thx. in advance

If you have more than one number listed, maybe you have to designate one as the primary number?

OK. I will try to find out.
I think it also has to do with the fact that some contact are double or triple.
When I go in to a contact to edit, I can sometimes scroll dowm and have the contact double and even triple sometimes????

And possibly contact's number is assigned as home or some other number that can't receive texts.

Got it now!
The first number on the contact should be a mobil number, then names come up when writing.

Cheers.

mobile contacts

and a follow up about sms to contacts.. is there any way to get contacts' numbers listed as other than 'Mobile' to come into the To-list when writing a sms? I can go into contacts and send sms to them by clicking on the messaging-icon, but not if I go to create a new

This issue is really irritating since I might want to have certain numbers labeled with custom names such as 'Private'/'Work' for the same person, or in my case having numbers in different countries would want to label some 'Sweden'/'China' for example and of course want to be able to send sms to both numbers!

Anyone has any tips or info about this??
