How to view what's on memory card and delete?

For some reason I was unable to to just find my memory card and delete something I wanted to delete from my memory card.

I backed up my contacts 3 times and every time I backed them up it created a new file or folder. If I wanted to delete the previous file or folder can this be done from the Nexus One without having to hook up the memory card into a laptop?

Open your music library > touch and hold the song, you will get a pop up selection menu, select your choice; use as ringtone, delete etc.

You can not view though via the phone.

Thanks, will try that one.

No other way to delete files or folders from Android itself?

Just tried it. Contacts are saved as VCF file type which can not be deleted on Astro. The first backup is listed as 00001 second as 00002 and third as 00003

Android (Google Nexus One) does not come with a file browser per se. You have to download an app. to browse your files. I use OI File Manager, it's a typical folder tree style directory browser where you can view all files and delete them or move them.
