permenent power on ?
If i have the phone plugged in and charging whilst in the car (using the USB lead) is it possible to have the display permenently on or does it shut off after the specified time ?
I've looked for settings to allow the phone display to remian on when plugged into a power source but so far can only find the standard setting that allows it on for up to 30 mins. cheers. |

There is actually an option for this on the phone, Its just not were you would expect it to be.
You go into settings then go under "applications" then go under "development" and check off "stay awake" this will keep the screen on while plugged in. Last edited by minedune2; 01-27-2010 at 04:49 PM. |

how about per app? or per state?
I'm in the same boat. I have my N1 plugged into my car stereo for charging and music and it always powers off and locks which is annoying.
I'll try those two options, but I'm wondering if there's a way to control it per app. e.g. if MixZing is running and power is present turn off screen at system-specified timeout don't lock screen unless power button is pressed turn screen on when anything is pressed I don't mind my screen going dim or turning off as long as I don't have to unlock my screen when I want to change the music, etc. Anyone? |
