Setting Speed Dial?

How can i go about setting some of my contacts as a speed dial number? For example, if I want to set my brother's number so that he is called simply by pressing and holding the number 2 key, how can I do it? Maybe I can't?

Not sure you can do that.

How about this. Hold desktop -> Shortcut -> Direct Dial ->Select your contact

That will add a speed dial to your homescreen. Not su

np.

It's also nice to just add the contact (instead of direct dial) which will bring up all ways to contact them or look up their info.

Thanks, I'll check it out but still missing the basic of functions on a "smartphone" is kinda sad.

Shouldn't have to install anything extra to get speed dial.

Who needs speed dial when you have a contact list and favourites that is what I do and it works fine I guess if you have like 150 contacts then it might be helpful but once again that is what favourite is for so whatever I guess it’s just a choice.
