auto re-booting

My older N1 seems to have a new habit.

It re-boots itself several times per day out of the blue.

It has not been modified other than a large number of
apps downloaded from Android Market. It is stock.

Any ideas where I might look to reverse this problem?

Thanks!

You could try doing a factory data reset, to rule out software, but its a bit extreme and may not help.

Another option would be to download a log cat app and see what it says - I would start by searching the results for ARM9 errors, to see if your processor is overheating...

What are some of your favorite 'log cap apps' ?
I will grab one.

Any other approaches to my issue?

alogcat and Catlog should be near the top of any Market search you do. It's a long time since I've used one, but I remember those being pretty good...

Unfortunately, your problem could be anything, so its just just a matter of trial and error. Searching the log for "fatal" is probably as good a start as any...

I grabbed Catlog but found nothing with 'fatal' in search.

What other keywords might help? Could I email you my log?

What else might I look into? The phone is re-booting almost daily.

Thanks again!
