I'm sure I read somewhere that the length of time your phone rings is dependant upon your network provider and NOT the specifications of the phone.

I came across this article: Blackberry and Mobiles: Increase rings before voicemail divert which allegedly explains how to increase the delay for a Vodafone UK network phone.

I might give it a go myself and see if it works as I want to extend the delay on mine before it goes to voicemail.

"The time can be altered in 5 second steps and be set between 5 and 30 seconds long - so you can use 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds.

Enter * * 61 * 121 *
then enter time between 5 -> 30
then # send."
so, to increase the delay to 30 seconds I need to type the following:

**61*21*30#

and then press send (do you mean hit the dial button?)

I guess if it differs by carrier then they probably all have a similar page. Some phones let you automate these codes by having it as a choice of settings, but basically the phone setting would just send the same request to the carrier.
cheers mate. I'm also on Vodafone UK so will give it a go.

I did it, it works on T-Mobile just fine. Punch in the code. The default on my phone is 20 seconds. I just left it because I don't want it to be any shorter. It just seems like google voice takes a long time to pick up the phone.

Tmobile's default is 15 seconds, you can change the delay from 5 - 30 seconds. Type in **61*18056377243**seconds#

*61* = "If not answered"
If you want to check the status - *#61#
To cancel and deregister - ##61#
Cancel and retain - #61#
Reestablish - *61#

Just remember that if you are using Google Voice as your voice mail to change the phone number to your Gvoice number.
