If power button stops working???

I was wondering if the power button doesn't work properly or simply broken is there any other way to open the phone when its in sleep? or simply shut down the phone and restart it? thanks

I found what i was looking for i got NO LOCK app. it wakes the phone with the volume + - but the trackball doesn't work?? i thought that the trackball can wake the phone also.What app can i use that will let me use the trackball to wake screen? thanks

Trackball wake was disabled with the 2.3.3 GB update, and I don't think anyone has gotten it to work yet. It still doesn't work with WidgetLocker and 2.3.4. So I just use the volume rocker, and deal with the "ping" sound the phone makes when I unlock it. :i

You can use an app called "Screen off and lock" to turn the screen off by long-pressing the search button.

My phone is working perfectly i was just asking in case one day the power button breaks.But now i use the volume to wake my phone.

With anyunlock can you open you phone with the volume button even when the phone is locked? because with no lock i can only use the volume button to wake when i keep the phone unlock.When i have to use my password to open phone i still have to use the power button

you can also use : fix broken power button app on the market. I like the widget option to put to sleep too.

Hi

For a long time my Nexus One power botten has not been working 100%. Often when I wanted to use it, I need to press it a certain way to make it work.

Now it's not working at all, meaning I cannot power on my phone

Any suggestions how to fix it? OR is there any other way to power it on, now that it IS shut down?

It's out of warrenty, over 2 years old.
