Skype on nexus one problem: Infinite sign-in tentative

Dear All,

Got my new nexus one running Android 2.2 and latest version of Skype from Android Market version 1.0.0.659. Carrier is Videotron (Quebec, Canada).

My problem is that when signing in, Skype displays the "Signing In" window and remains in this state indefinitely. I thought that skype servers are not reachable so I tried to sign in using a wrong password for my credentials. In this case Skype notifies me about the wrong login/password. Therefore Skype server is reachable.

I moved the application to SD Storage and tried again but in vain. I don't know what to do. Any idea please ?

Any clue ? it happens over both 3G and Wifi..

I tried it with 2.2 stock rom and i'm on videotron too. Works great. I'd say Videotron might have tweaked the rom so you can't use it.

Get that videotron restrictive crapware rom off your phone and you'll be free

Are you running any security apps, such as Lookout?

My nexus one works fine with sky pe.

Please check your networking.
