mms message stuck pending

I just tried to send a picture message today for the first time, and even though I've got coverage the message is stuck pending and isn't getting delivered.

I'm using the stock messaging app. The message shows up with a little envelope with a red clock over it. I think this means it's still pending, anyway I know it's not getting to the recipient.

Has anyone else had a problem sending mms messages?

i believe the red click means its "uploading" / "sending"

if there is a real issue sending it,, it makes a red warning triangle

The messages did end up getting sent in the end. Not sure why they were sitting pending for so long, but I didn't have to do anything to get them to send except for wait.

You have a bad data connection. This happens ocassionally.. Try taking out the battery and sim card, putting them back in then disable wifi, 3g, turn them back on if you had them on then it should work.

I've had this problem as well, pix sent either go through days later, or most likely never. I don't think it's data related, as regular messages continue to fly by in real time, surfing, etc, remains normal. I think it's TMO servers choking on the pic.
They don't really choke, but they do resize. The Nexus one has a 5MP camera and there's a size limit of 300KB on photos. Sometimes it can't resize for MMS, so resizing manually then sending the picture will solve that problem.

The other possibility is that it was a bad connection- when you're on 'G', they can take a long time to upload as it's uploading at a rate of a maximum 13KB/s and it's a 300KB pic.

Try resizing photos and sending again when you have a nice signal- that will fix the problem for sure.

If normal text messages are having issues try resending twice and if that doesn't work then call customer care and have them remove and readd your messaging plan

(I work for them so I've seen this happen a few times )

You may have to set the proper servers for it to use- I'd suggest calling at&t and getting the proper mms settings.

They probably won't know where to go in the android phone for it though, so I'd suggest looking around here.

Nope web browsing is kinda slow on edge but it can be fast at times. It all depends on your location. Some edge spots are better than others. But other than mms issues no problem at all with using this phone on AT&T.
