resintalling 2.2

HI,

I attempted to root my phone a few days ago using the Amon recovery package,

but after I flashed it, I started getting the error message "process system not working" and the phone just restarts. Effectively making the phone non-functional.

I'm trying to revert the phone back to a clean install. But it seems I can't find the firmware that needs to be flashed from any of google's servers, and most of the other solutions I've looked up seem to have a third-party rom.

what would be the best way for me to deal with this?

In that case can someone move this to the nexus one discussion or even the development and hacking section to get better exposure. iamus have you ever heard of the passimg method if so then I would use that.

question: why am I downloading the recovery Rom from rapidshare like it's a pirated thing we're doing (no offense to rapidshare), why can't I find this stuff on google's servers?
