Use Root Explorer and just follow the path listed.
I don't have them, so if you do, may be issue. Def sounds like you are not retaining the flash I don't remember deleting them myself, but I rooted and flashed amon 7 months, may forgotten If you rename you can unname if needed As long as you got good bu's, no problem

i tried the flash recovery but my phone isn't rooted so the flash wont work it tells me an error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands! i have the nexus one i had on it froyo rooted. then gingerbread update came to my phone from stock so i unrooted and updated to gingerbread 2.3.3. then another update came and i updated to 2.3.4 now im trying to get into my recovery and i get the triangle. i'm trying to root gingerbread but i cant do that due to the fact that i cant access recovery.. its really anoying the phone is so limited i cant format it i cant do anything i would really appreciate the help

This is a very old thread, I would start your own with all info you can give. That way people won't confuse previous suggestions with your issue.
