Flashed 9/05 nightly. Didn't see anything new but the Theme Choice. However, it just gave me stock choice and one other. Didn't see a choice to see and install dl themes from sd. Maybe I missed something. I do have the Steel theme on sd card.

It obviously erased my circle battery morh. So, I restored CM6.

Hey Guys,

Sorry, but what does a Nightlies do exactly or add??

Would it be best to wait for the new upgrade?

Thanks,

Gezza.

i'm keen to start trying out these nightlies too... except the 'unstable part' is still putting me off.. been playing with my CM6 rom now for just under 2 weeks and nwo it's starting to have random reboots... might try a full wipe and redo this cm6 but with the nightlies just to see what it's like.. lol flashing is getting addictive

Any news on Cyanogen getting the radio chipset working yet? I know that was something being worked on. I have flashed several nightlies before (including the one with the funky Korean keyboard enabled default that constantly fc'd). CM6 RC3 + wildmonks has been rocking my phone steady since it was released. Haven't found a compelling reason to flash stable yet. I really want to try out some FM transmitter goodness for my car.

The nightlies include for testing, incremental updates until the RC or Stable version is out. For the most part most people have no problems, just nandroid first. If you are themed, it will most likely mes that up. Also, some apps like Trackball Alert may not work with the nightlies.

Flashing new nightly 090710-124301 now.

EDIT:
This one has touch to focus in video. Great new feature for those who use their video recorders alot.
Don't see anything else that's new but will report if I find anything.

Backup your apps+settings(TitaniumBackup) and do a NANDROID backup.

You can simply open up ROM Manager and download/flash the nightlies from there.

If you're already running any version of Cm6, then you can flash a nightly without wiping.
I usually go about flashing a nightly 2 different ways. From Rom Manager or I download the zip and flash it through recovery.

I'll show you how to do both. First run titanium backup and make a backup of apps and settings.

Option 1.Flash through Rom Mananger
-Open Rom Manager
-Download Rom
-Cyanogen Mod Nightlies
-Select Google Apps (you really don't have to do this if you already have the current google apps)
-Once it downloads Checkmark Backup Rom
Now just wait for it to flash and you're done.

Option 2. Flash through recovery
Sometimes Rom Manager doesn't have the most current nightly. Check the link in the first post and compare it to the one in Rom Manager.
-Download the nightly zip file. You can download from your phone or from your computer and send it to your phone. Just make sure it's on your SDcard.
-Open Rom Manager
-Boot in to recovery
-Select Backup and restore
-Backup
-Once you're done backing up, boot into recovery again.
-choose "install zip from sdcard"
-Choose zip from sdcard
-Then locate and select the zip file you downloaded.
-Select yes.
Now it will flash it and you're done

I know there are 100 different ways to do this, so if you see other instructions, they may work also.
