I "THINK" I have seen this issue a ways back with no known reason. Some have a problem, some don't. It is kinda like the nightlies where for some they run great, I have no problems. But, for some, different things don't work right.

I too have no problems with RM/CWMod. I was very careful to set them all up correctly.

Hey folks,

I just went ahead and installed CM6 but with an added twist.
I flashed "Kang-o-rama 1.0" from here [ROM] Kang-o-rama 1.0 FINAL | CM6 | OC-UV | Apps2Ext | 720p | Arabic Support - xda-developers

It looks brilliant and hopefully runs brillaint too.
Will use it for a while and then give a better opinion !

Thanks

I was just feeling ready for CM6 but then I read the sense rom discussion in the other thread today. My main motive for CM6 was increasing battery life, but looks like CM6 is not good with it at all. Sense ROM on the other hand, looks like is giving much better battery life compared to CM6, at least that's what people claim in the other thread.

I have noticed that each phone and rom work a little different for different people. what works for one may be a disaster for another. This is why I have been trying different roms. Just to see what works better for me. So far, the "eVil 1.17" Rom has been best for me. I have only tried 4 Roms. There are other people who have tried them all. I can only speak for me and I say I love this Rom with the "Tron" theme. The battery has lasted me much longer than CM roms have. Good Luck with the one you choose and keep us posted on how you like it. We all learn from each other...

I don't think that it's nearly that "random". For the most part, the phones are identical. The ROM's had darn well better be identical for everyone. The only real difference is the mistakes people make when the switch to a difference ROM.

To be honest, battery life was better after I flashed CM6... Then it was just phenomenal when I flashed a new kernel.

Just a little heads up

The chips are not "exactly" identical, so there can be issues for some and not others. Especially how the phone handles OC.

That's why some can go higher than others.
