Man, I was totally hoping I could figure this out and add to my, albeit limited, Linux knowledge. Eh? Can't always get what you want, right? I'll find a Windows user somewhere and try to knock this out. Thanks for all your help, ladies and gents.

i cant get past the waiting for device part no matter what i try...can someone please walk me through this..im running xp...ive tried everything in these and other forums

I used to get that error. I had to search Hardware in Control panel and I saw a second USB unknown not installed so I installed it manually from the SDK folder and I never got that error after

Weird, I'm using XP also. Are you currently in Fastboot mode on your N1. I think I was connected to my PC while in Fastboot mode and checked for driver or hardware

Unlock Nexus on Linux
There is a bug in adb (or in linux somewhere) that prevents it from running with user privileges. Run
sudo ./fastboot-linux oem unlock and will work, if the other settings are OK. |
